2014 HS Biography/Research Presentation Requirements
Research data requirements:
The following facts about the school must be included in your presentation:
• Full name of the school
• Website address
• School street address
• You must include your map image that you have saved in your document
• Population (how many students, teachers, etc.)
• Admission requirements (ex. Type of application, grades, test scores, etc.)
• List of academic programs (classes offered, classes you could take there)
• Extra-curricular activities (sports and clubs)
• Rates of freshmen graduation in five years (graduation rate: last question answered)
•You must also include four more facts that you feel are important for people to know about the school.
• Your last slide needs to be your Bibliography (references) from your Google Doc. Take a screen shot or retype it.
• You must have pictures of your school, the uniforms, the students, the sports. etc. Pictures that will help make your presentation more colorful. At least 10. Screen shot or drag and drop.
Your options are iMovie, Prezi or Google Slide Show. On the iPad you can create cartoons, drawings, type things in word, and screen shot anything to add it to your presentation.
Step 3 HS Project 2/3 -2/6
1. Open your Google Drive document
2. Open a 2nd tab and open up Google Maps
3. Type in 2216 West Hirsch St. Chicago, IL 60622
4. Find directions to your school's address (it is in your document, just copy and paste)
5. Click the train to get the public transportation routes
6. Take a screen shot of the whole page.
7. Add it to your drive
8. At the end of your document you are going to create your bibliography
9. At the top open add-ons, then easy bib add-on.
10. Click on website and cite:

-Google maps

Week 15 (12/8 - 12/14): Day 3 of HSRP
Step 1: Both of you log on to Google @ Cps
Step 2: Go into the drive and find your document from last week (it should be the name of your high school)
Step 3: One of you copy the following words in black below into your document
Step 4: Both of you work on answering the questions.
Step 5: If you didn't finish the answers from last week please take the time to do that as well.
Focus on using cps.edu. Go under the tab SCHOOLS. Then click on FIND A
SCHOOL. Type in your high schools full name, if you cannot find your school look at the
list of all the CPS high schools and find your school link. If you aren't researching a CPS High School, please look at your own high school's website.

What is the population (how many students attend)?
What Level is the school ranked? ____ What does that level mean?
What languages are represented within the school? (list no more than 3)

Week 14 (12/1 - 12/5): Day 2 of HSRP
Step 1: Open up your Google CPS email account
Step 2: Open up Google Drive and create a new blank document
Step 3: Name the document your high school and both of your names.
ex: Badger High School, Glenda and Rosie
Step 4: Copy and paste the following steps into the document
Step 5: Share the document with me ([email protected]) and share it with your partner.
Step 6: Once shared, start answering the questions using your high school's website.
